The Flawless Bridal Party – Injectables are Often on the “To Do” List
Every bride wants to look stunning on her special day and every bride is plagued by what she perceives as imperfections that will be highlighted in her wedding photos and videos. To ensure a flawless look, brides are adding aesthetic injectables, such as neurotoxins and fillers, to their “to do” lists; for themselves as well as their entire bridal party and even their family members.
I regularly treat brides along with their bridal parties and family members in the months leading up to the big day. If time permits, I recommend that a bride and her entourage have a consultation well in advance to determine a course of treatment. It is not uncommon for brides to opt for a trial run and have procedures done months in advance to ensure they will get the results they are looking for. In these instances, I might only need to do some touch up work a few weeks before the wedding.
In one such case, six-months before the wedding date, an anxious bride-to-be, accompanied by her future mother-in-law traveled from New York to consult with me regarding her concern about “looking tired”.
I was able to recognize an asymmetrical character of her face; with one side appearing more hollow around the eye and cheek and drooping at the corner of the mouth. I used a filler in strategic areas to “lift”, “fill” and bring balance to her face, at the left corner of the mouth, the upper outer cheek near the eye, in the left cheek hollow and to the hollow under the left eye, eliminating the tired look.
The young bride-to-be was ecstatic with the results. She’s scheduled to return one month before her wedding to repeat the procedure.
Even if you don’t have time for a trial run there are many options for last minute procedures that provide satisfying results. A bride may look in the mirror and see imperfections that she assumes she must live with, thinking she can only expect to minimize frown lines or crow’s feet without undergoing surgical procedures. Brides are often amazed when I make suggestions for non-surgical cosmetic enhancements such as re-shaping a nose, plumping sagging earlobes or eliminating a “hollowness” under the eyes.
These enhancements, when done with an eye for achieving a natural look, will create a radiant appearance without any telltale signs of having had work done. The wedding guests will simply comment on how beautiful the bride looks, assuming it is just a “bridal glow” and the bride will put forth a flawless image in every photo and video, whether candid or staged.
If you special day is approaching, you may want to consider a consultation to determine if image enhancements would be in order to capture your flawless memories. Most importantly, consider the choice of a reputable injector who can produce testimonials and examples of prior work to ensure you will look your very best on your special day.
