Silhouette InstaLift Threads

What is an InstaLift Threadlift?
InstaLift is an innovative, non-surgical alternative to a traditional surgical facelift. It uses resorbable sutures with Micro-Suspension Technology to lift and tighten mid-facial skin, including cheeks, deep nasolabial folds, and sagging jowls.

How does it work?
The procedure takes about 45 minutes and is completed with local anesthesia. The sutures are threaded below the skin and then pulled taut in order to lift the desired areas. After the sutures are placed, the area is gently massaged to ensure that they are properly embedded. As the material dissolves over time, it stimulates the body’s own collagen production, creating a refreshed look that may last up to a year or more.

What is the downtime?
After the procedure, you’ll have some mild swelling, possible bruising, and soreness in the treated areas for a few days. Temporary slight dimpling, pulling, or lumpiness may occur. You should be able to return to your normal skincare routine after 24 hours. Over-the-counter pain relievers can be taken to alleviate soreness. It is recommended to avoid rubbing the treated areas, eating hard foods, and chewing gum for a few days up to a week or two after your procedure. You should also be able to resume strenuous or high-impact exercises after one to two weeks.

What should you do to prepare for the procedure?
Much like with a filler treatment, patients should avoid any blood thinning medications or supplements for a week prior to the procedure to reduce the risk of bleeding and bruising. These include aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, and fish oil. Our staff is happy to review your current medications or supplements to determine if any of them should be avoided.
